“Laced in Love” is centered on the detail, design, and delicacy that come with lace, making it such a versatile and timeless addition to everyday styles. In this fashion shoot, two models wearing lacey fabrics from head to toe exemplify the uniqueness that comes with lace. Historically, lace within clothing and fabrics in general has represented status and luxury, with the time and skill required to produce such designs making it more like wearable art. In modern fashion, lace has become more prominent than ever. In everyday clothing, lace, whether it serves as just the lining of a tank top or the ribbon of a dress, has added a bold, unique feature to every piece in a wide spectrum of styles. Taken under the state house lights at dusk, these photos show the contrast between complementing black and white lace on the two models against the marble of the house’s material. This, combined with the going-out styles in between the models, helps emphasize the edge in their outfits, all while keeping a softness to their looks, truly representing their fabric. The added lace masquerade masks further tease the mystery that comes from wearing such bold colors and designs with lace. In this shoot, particularly, the use of lace portrays a multifaceted connection to fashion today, just like love itself. XO
