Drink spiking occurs when someone adds drugs or alcohol to another person’s drink without their knowledge or consent. Bars, clubs and parties are all common places where drink spiking can take place. It can cause memory loss, dizziness and a lack of awareness of one’s surroundings. Prevalent on college campuses, drink spiking is something both students and faculty at USC are looking for ways to combat the stigma and occurrence of with methods of education, intervention and prevention.
