Supermoon

The new moon coming up on Jan. 30, and this isn’t just any old moon: It’s a supermoon. Known sometimes as a blue moon, the supermoon is when the moon makes its closest approach to Earth in its orbit than usual, appearing 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter.

Now the supermoon in Aquarius is bringing noticeable shifts in energy as the planets move as well as propelling the new beginnings vibe we’ve been riding since our New Year’s resolution. January is the month of the try new things, create new habits, and welcoming change of all kind not solely in part to the holiday. Since Aquarius is a fixed mode of energy, the supermoon in Aquarius brings in awareness so that our attention goes towards uplifting humanity starting with our local community and friendships.

Another component to the energy brought up by the supermoon is to take time to celebrate the individual: You! Easier said than done yet being able to contribute to the world whether on the football field, in class, or at work as you, the authentic you, is what makes the world an amazingly wonderful place to be anyways.

The supermoon encourages us to step outside of the everyday long enough to create a positive ripple in our lives and around us. Living in the future won’t make it a better today nor will being stuck in the past. Start with the fresh idea today and let it ripple into the future especially since Aquarius also is the sign that deals with future trends.

With all the great new opportunities and flow of energy coming our way with the supermoon, embrace the time and step outside of the same old same old. Go ahead and test the waters. And, if you’re struggling with those resolutions of yours, allow some time to take a step back and check back into the present and I’m sure you’ll get a new charge of energy to carry you through.
