Fall Fashion Trends

Good bye skimpy summer clothes and hello fall fashion. I know Fashion Weeks all over the world have been giving you a taste of what spring 2014 looks, like but let’s get back to the NOW! As the season changes there are some staple items you should definitely have in your closet. Affordable and versatile, these fall trends will help you not only expand your closet but also give you a chance to define your personal style.

Grab a pretty graphic pull-over! Most stores are crazed about the idea of cool graphics on everything now. It won’t be hard finding a sweatshirt or long sleeve tee this season with a unique graphic on it. Whether it’s your favorite animal, a quirky quote or a tribal pattern you just love, graphics are in.

Keep it cute with a cardigan! For those mornings when you really can’t find a jacket to match your outfit, a neutral-colored cardigan will definitely do the trick. Throw one on with a patterned top, high waist jeans and ankle booties and you’re smooth styling the rest of the day.

Walk with purpose in your favorite pair of boots! Whether they’re timberlands or combat boots find a pair that works best with your personal style and rock it out! A popular trend for fall 2013 is pairing any style of boot with knee high socks for the preppy look.

Do dark denim! Jeans are classics; they are worn throughout the year and have been around for ages. But instead of just pairing your Levi’s with a Carolina sweat shirt and some sneakers how about mixing it up a bit? Distressed jeans are my favorite, so I usually wear them with a graphic tee, solid blazer, animal print flats and a big bag.

Go green! Every season there’s a standout color that designers predict to be trendy. Fall’s color is emerald. I’ve seen it on the runway and it is making its way to retailers slowly but surely. My favorite article of clothing by far is the emerald green midi skirt which can be found at Forever 21, Top Shop and Nordstrom.

And to top of your outfit, add a hat! Felt hats are all over the place right now. Pair a black fedora with a black skater style dress, stand-out tights, and your favorite boots. Also, as predicted knit beanies are here to stay. The solid black is the most versatile but by popular demand beanies with words have taken over. Find what you like and wear it how you want!

Take these fall fashion trends and make them yours, prosper with your personal style!
