Narrative and Creative

This is a short story of a young queer woman growing up in a conservative, Christian home and her discovery of the horror genre and its roots in queer culture. It tells not only the unique story of this woman but also tells the queer origins of the horror genre. It describes how this young woman is empowered by and finds acceptance of herself through horror.
