Boasting 22,000 square feet of exhibit space, performance areas and artists’ studios, Tapp’s Arts Center, located at 1644 Main St., is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Cyclists! Fashion fans! Grab your velocipede, call your tailor, get dappered up and book your flight to the UK! April ninth is the third annual Tweed Run and this bike ride is one of the classiest in the world. The first Tweed Run began in 2009 in London when Ted Young-Ing purchased a pair of knickers and needed an excuse to wear them. After getting a few friends in on the idea of a dressy bike ride around the capital of England, many other cycle enthusiasts joined in and the event blew up. This inspired bikers around the world to start their own tweed bike races. Here in the US, these dressy riders have taken over Boston, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Los Angeles, to name just a few.
