After the apparent fiasco at the Vanderbilt game last Saturday, USC ticket officials are considering assigned seats in the student section during the 2012 football season.

This is a horrible idea. The last time they tried this was in 2009 at the first home game. Students were not allowed to sit with friends who had student tickets in other sections. This caused a complete uproar, and officials were forced to give in to general seating.
