Religion is a sensitive topic.

Understatement of the century, easily, but it can be supported. They want to cut it out of schools; they won’t show religious symbols at speeches given by public officials.

All of a sudden, there’s an aversion to touching on religion.

NPR just fired Juan Williams for a misaligned statement on national television. We’ve got extremist right-wing Baptists burning Qu’rans and making the rest of us look bad. So what do we do?

We make a list! And we rank the most prominent topics from greatest to least importance. And we come up with this:

1. Economic Crisis
2. War in Iraq
3. "Twilight"
4. Environment
5. Religion

So, we’ll see how far this gets us.
