First, if another one of those DAMNED bikers almost hits me going 50 mph on the sidewalks I am going to go Big Daddy on their asses and throw a stick underneath their tires as they fly past so that they flip over and I never have to worry about almost being run over EVER AGAIN.
Second, to the couple that I was waiting in line behind at the Colloquium the other day: STOP FUCKING GROPING EACH OTHER IN PUBLIC. It is NOT cute, just like the babies that I pray to GOD that you do not produce.
Also, to the female counterpart of this couple ^ stop playing with his damn hair. You running your hands through it while simultaneously carrying out your apparent life goal to act like a dumbass and annoy people everywhere is not going to make that Brillo pad-resembling shit look any better.

Dear "Needs Coffee"
First of all, it's not a Starbucks, we're a part of Barnes and Noble (so don't bitch at me when we can't accept your Starbucks gift card).

Second, can you see that wondrous, long, and cranky line of 30 people that want their skinny Caramel Macchiatos just as much as do? We have to MAKE EVERY SINGLE DRINK, ONE AT A TIME. So, it's going to take a bit longer than the 1-3 minutes that you've decided was enough time to get coffee before class. Want a quick fix? Order the brewed coffee.

Third, the majority of the morning staff has probably been there since 7am or 8am. If they can get up early enough to be at work, then you can leave your dorm/apt 15 minutes early.

P.S. We're students, too. We have class, we have work, and we have to be on time, as well. Don't blame us for your poor time management.

Here's the thing with student tickets. Students used to have to wait in line but people complained about missing class and such so they started using TicketReturn. The reason we don't pay for "season student tickets" is because it's a big recruiting tool the university uses. USC is the only SEC school that does not make their students straight up pay for their tickets and I think it's awesome. Plus, they give us more tickets than most schools allow for their students. 
 
The problem then? It's not TicketReturn and it's not the athletic department. It's us. As students last year, we complained that they wouldn't open up the upper deck like they had before. Then they do it this year and we complain "we" weren't the lucky ones to get a GA ticket and sneak into the bottom section anyway. In simple terms, you are STEALING a seat from someone else. Now, if you're the one either with a GA ticket or able to sneak into the bottom, you don't see it like this. But, if you are the one at the gate who was lucky enough to get a GA ticket and you are being told you cannot enter the student section because it is full even though you are guaranteed a spot with that ticket, then you realize how messed up it is that someone just stole your seat and now you're up in the nosebleeds where that person who stole your seat should be. 
 
It's not cool, I know. Being the unlucky one and getting an upper deck seat or none at all is really lame. But sneaking into the bottom section is the same as going ten over the speed limit. It's probably not going to kill you and you won't always get caught, but it's still illegal and every once in a while, there will be blue lights following you to ticket you for the petty crime you are committing. 
 
Let's just say this "proposal" to make the student section assigned seating is the cop sitting down the road with his lights on. You see that there could be consequences if you keep disobeying what you're supposed to be doing. So do you keep speeding and hope he's too lazy to chase you, or do you slow down to the speed limit and realize that it's better to be safe than sorry? 
 
If you want the student section to be GA, then accept the ticket you receive and stop complaining. Otherwise, I think the athletic department is justified to do what they see fit to fix the problem.

potential assigned seats next year: flawed.
standing hours in lines for a ticket: flawed.

what should we do then? how about at the beginning of each year, students are able to buy STUDENT SECTION SEASON TICKETS. they get the same seat every game for $250. it's what penn state does and it works perfectly. why can't we do this? have the sale the week before classes start and give out season tickets for the student section. i don't understand why we can't do that. i'm really not trying to be a total as*hole, so if anyone has a response to this as to why it wouldn't work, or they can offer a better idea, feel free to let me know. thank you. i just want to see some football....it's a big part of why i went ten hours from home to go to this school.....

Ticket Return may be the stupidest thing ever invented. Why can't we just do like every other school and sit in line for tickets. It would be much better than sitting in front of a computer with a screen that says "Server is too Busy" Be smart USC, let us enjoy the football games. Expand the student section .. But not to the upper deck! Because the more pumped we are, the more energized the players are. Think about it!
