Trends always end in excess and this couldn’t be truer of menswear trends as well. Menswear as of late is taking a more effeminate path, with structured suits that are nipped at the waist and trouser and pant bottoms that graze mid-calf. This feminine style is also partial to color blocking, like the Miharayasuhiro fall 2014 collection, not to mention the leather and metallic accents throughout the collection.
This fall collection, however, is still clearly menswear, with pieces like a graphic ink blotted sweatshirt and paint splattered slip-ons. The feminine aspect of each look can be something as simple as a circle scarf or something as Jared Leto in a man skirt. Either way, this collection has something for the man who is very, very comfortable in his skin. This collection is characterized by a sort of urban rockabilly feel of the entire thing, whether the look is a forest green pant and trench coat combo or button up and blazer look. This collection is sexy and has the perfect amount of color and pattern to neutral ratio. I mean truly, what more could you want?!
