When Game Day arrives, the first thing most girls think about is what they will wear, and this is especially true when Homecoming rolls around. The attire at the William Brice Stadium was definitely something to look at this past Saturday. The trends of little black dresses still exist but the most common trends that swept the crowd were prints and jerseys. Bib necklaces and statement jewelry were also things I noticed as I sat in the student section. Most guys went for the preppy look— a collared shirt with the Gamecock logo and khaki shorts. Some guys also wore football jerseys and denim jeans. I even noticed some people didn’t wear Carolina colors, which I found to be very interesting. I’m all for personal style, but it’s homecoming, what better way to show school spirit? Personally, I enjoy “dressing up” for football games. It shows not only my peers but also visitors that I take pride in being a Carolinian. What’s your Game Day style? How do you decide what to wear?
