Shaky Beats Pre-Coverage

The time is drawing close for Shaky Beats, and fans across the country have a lot to expect from this Atlanta-based rave. With artists ranging in all genres: dubstep, trap, rap, tropical house, progressive house and trance; this diverse lineup will draw all cultures in the EDM spectrum.

With a stacked opening day, Shaky Beats is letting fans dive straight into the fun. Space house powerhouse Space Jesus will be bringing the weird and the wonky to fans early on, warming attendees up for hard acts following. Atlanta-based dubstep and trap producer Herobust will be bringing head-bangers to Piedmont stage performing a high intensity set that will be difficult to forget. Following at Piedmont is highly-anticipated DJ and producer Dillon Francis. Bringing laughs, Moomba, and high-tempo collabs, Dillon Francis is not a set to miss. If all goes well, expect a visit from his piñata Gerald. Headlining the opening night of the festival is masked producer Marshmello. With a set full of collabs with artists Selena Gomez, Khalid and Noah Cyrus, along with a hard-hitting dubstep portion, fans will not be let down from this set.

Going on to Day 2, another highly diverse schedule will bring the intensity and good vibes from artists all around. After seeing them close out Incendia Stage at Okeechobe Music Festival 2017, Bonnie x Clyde is a set not to miss. With live vocals, hard dubstep and trap drops, and melodic vibes, I highly recommend seeing these quickly rising producers take the stage at Ponce de Leon. Another personal favorite that I will not be missing is Ookay’s live performance. Instead of his usual DJ set, Ookay (Live) is an energetic, multi-instrumental performance performed live. Ranging from drum pads, keyboards, and Keytar, Ookay will be all over the stage while singing his hits “Cool,” “Chasing Colors” and his 2016 anthem “Thief.” After the good vibes, head bangers from across the country will be Piedmont stage for dubstep king Excision. Accompanied by the Paradox visuals, no one should miss this set. Hard-hitting sounds accompanied by audio-synced visuals bring his music to life for a set that’s going to leave you in a neck brace. With yet another change in tempo, electro-house producer Zedd is going to take mainstage to close out Day 2. His performance is yet another set fans shouldn’t miss with an array of tracks that will keep fans off their feet and dancing along to his hits from the past several years.

As the festival comes to a close with Day 3, the future bass, hard dance, and tropical house genres dominate the schedule. Keeping the hard music alive, Kayzo will bring the dubstep and hard dance to fans eager for bass music. With my biggest interest for the day, Seven Lions closes out Piedmont with an array of electro-house, trance, progressive house, and additional dubstep tracks to keep the energy live for headliner Kygo. With the start of the festival season, Kygo will be bringing the sounds of summer with the tropical-house hits that dominate mainstages across the world.
